Languages unite us or divide us

This is difficult question, I believe language divide us some times unit us. For example whenever I go everywhere they ask me where I am from. Why is that? Because they know my accent that means our language divides us but, at the same time this situation is not applicable for the people who are good language learner. They can adopt the accent and the language easily, for them language doesn’t divide them. Another example, if we see here in our class room we all are from different country, but we are speaking same language, so in this situation language unite us.

My immigration experiance

I came to the United States  three years ago. Adjusting yourself in different country is the most difficult thing in your life. In my opinion the hardest and the most challenging thing is moving out from your home country. Let me share you about my immigration experience a little bit. When I first came to this country, I was living in a small city called Johnson City in Tennessee. There were very few Ethiopian people. Imagine how it was hard for me; I came from big family and a lot of friends here me and my sister only. My sister even doesn’t have enough time to show me around, so I was staying at home all the time. Even if I go out most of the time, when I went to the store or some places it was hard for them to understand my accent. Because there are few immigrants, it is hard for the natives to catch up immigrant’s accent. After living there for a year I decide to move to Minnesota. Minnesota is completely different than Tennessee, I feel like I’m home. I start loving my immigration life when I came here, I got a lot of Ethiopian people’s friends and I start loving it.
I believe language unit us. Let see our class room all of us are immigrant but we are speaking English, English language unit us. We all speak one language but we from different country.
